The British Players’ ‘The Princess and the Sprout’ Opens Tonight

The British Players present THE PRINCESS AND THE SPROUT.

This traditional holiday pantomime, a theatrical treat that for centuries has entertained audiences all around the British Isles. Delight in the confusion that ensues among Queen Snobalott, her son, a princess, and what sprouts up under the mattress. Songs, dances, buffoonery, in-jokes, audience participation and a bit of innuendo will delight all (suitable for children 4 and older).

The Princess and the Sprout plays from November 30-December 16, 2012 at Kensington Town Hall – 3710 Mitchell Street, in Kensington, MD.

Evening performances Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 7 p.m.  There are matinees on Saturday December 8 and 15 and Sunday December 2, 9, and 16 at 1 p.m.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $12 for children 11 and under. Tickets for Groups of 8 or more are $15 each. For tickets, call the box office at (301) 838-0042.
