A “show” was presented by one “David J. Goldberg”, purporting be a “theater piece” about a secret cabal of heartless corporations/rogue government agents/reptilized Masons who aim to incite fear in the populace by alerting us to the dangers of “unlikely” terrorists radicalized by the Internet. These evil doers have a diabolical plan to control the Internet, the global financial system, all political entities, and our every thought, feeling, and blink.
“Goldberg” plays his “role” with modesty and charm, almost convincing us that this is just another “production.” As audience members we all dutifully placed our cell phones in the tin foil “Goldberg” and “Director” “Conrad Kluck” (surely he could have come up with a more convincing name) provided.
If the universe(s) is engaged in a Manichean struggle between good and evil, I for one appreciate getting the facts. I am somewhat mortified, however, to learn that being hapless or uninteresting is no longer a bar to being spied upon.
If this concerns you, or interests you, or if you just want to have a good time, see this show. Just don’t tell anyone about it.
Running Time: 75 minutes, with no intermission.
RATING: BEST OF THE 2016 CAPITAL FRINGE!
