The British Players are seeking a cast of six men and four women for this zany, entertaining musical that takes a satirical poke at Agatha Christie mysteries and musical styles in the English music halls of the ’30’s.

Ten people are stranded in an isolated English country mansion during a raging thunderstorm, and one by one they’re picked off by cleverly fiendish devices. As the bodies pile up in the library, the survivors frantically race to uncover the identity and motivation of the cunning culprit. Set in 1935 with a rousing vaudeville style score, this suspenseful satire is a smashingly good time for audience and performers alike.

    Audition Requirements:

Provide resumé, headshot, and schedule conflicts.

Please prepare 32 bars of an upbeat musical theater song that best shows your range. Bring sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided.

There will also be cold readings from the script. The characters have accents ranging from Cockney to upper-class British. You will be asked to demonstrate simple stage movement. Wear appropriate clothing and shoes that allow freedom of movement.

Rehearsals: Begin April 20th, typically 3 nights per week – Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sunday afternoons (also some Saturday afternoons).
Rehearsal Locations: Metropolitan Church, Nebraska Ave, NW and Bannockburn Community Center
