A handful of bus passengers, each traveling solo cross country, find themselves stranded in the middle of the Arizona desert. After walking for miles, they come across the small town of Heavenly Gulch, where the few residents offer them refuge and a chance to review and renew their lives. In the tradition of classic dramas such as The Petrified Forest and Bus Stop, Encounter at Heavenly Gulch throws together a group of quirky characters and self-discovery as well as mayhem ensues.

The Theater of the Spirit (TOTS) was established at Unity of Gaithersburg in 2005 to present musical and theatrical productions that lift the heart and touch the soul. Past performances have included The Devil and Daniel Webster, Beautiful Dreamer, Melchoir’s Dream, and The Long Dark Night of Joseph Harrington Clarke.

A One-Act Play Festival is planned for 2013. New members are always welcome.
