Also on the program will be works by Ernest Bloch, George Gershwin, and John Williams, as well as the premiere of “Sabbath Song” by the Obie Award-winning and Tony-nominated composer Gary William Friedman.

Guest artists include the internationally acclaimed clarinetist Julian Milkis, the only student of Benny Goodman, as well as Cantor Michail Manevich, a renowned musician and cantor of the Washington Hebrew Congregation in Washington, DC. They will be joined by Artistic Director/violinist Leo Sushansky and pianist Carlos Rodriguez.

Leo was recently featured in a wonderful Comcast Newsmakers interview in which he discussed the upcoming 2013-2014 season of the National Chamber Ensemble. Check it out. He has a fantastic season planned!
