It was an exciting morning at Sardi’s as the cast, producers, and the director of The Velocity of Autumn were introduced to the NYC press. I was so thrilled to be there and to see my friends Playwright Eric Coble, Producers Van Dean and Larry Kaye and Arena Stage’s Artistic Director Molly Smith, who is making her Broadway Directorial debut, and two actors whose work I admire so much – Estelle Parsons and Stephen Spinella – being photographed and interviewed.

Those of us who fell in love with The Velocity of Autumn during its recent successful run at Arena Stage, are thrilled New York theatre goers will get a chance to see these two brilliant actors at work in this very funny, poignant, and important play.

I interviewed Larry, Van, Estelle, Stephen, and Eric and those interviews will appear on DCMetroTheaterArts beginning next Tuesday.

Here are pictures by BroadwayWorld’s Walter McBride and me of today’s event.
