Of course, it is no surprise that “It’s What We Do” was the pick for Best Drama. A play that has a political axe to grind can easily galvanize its supporters (I wonder if all of them saw the play) to vote for it. The dramas that did not have a political purpose and agenda cannot hope to match such an organized purpose or organize their supporters in such a way. Do not be fooled. This play won because folks that are seeking to make their one-sided political points on the Middle East organized to seek a victory for their cause (i.e., to blame Israel solely for the plight of the Palestinians and to support their boycott, divestment and sanctions agenda).
