DC Metro Theater Arts Launches New Logo, Website Design, and TodayTix Partnership

Washington, DC—DC Metro Theater Arts, the most comprehensive source of performing arts coverage in the Washington, DC, and Baltimore metro areas, is pleased to announce a thorough redesign of its website to give readers a more contemporary and convenient browsing experience.

In addition, DC Metro Theater Arts introduces a new logo to complement the website redesign.

DC Metro Theater Arts is also partnering with TodayTix to offer ticket discounts on the most sought-after shows in Washington, DC, and New York City.

“We put a lot of thought into every detail of this website redesign,” said Editor-in-Chief and Publisher Nicole Hertvik. “My goals are to maintain and improve upon the coverage that our audience came to expect under Founder Joel Markowitz while modernizing the primary channel we use to communicate that information.”

On the new website homepage, you will now find content clearly divided into the following sections:

  • Reviews
  • Feature Articles and Interviews
  • News Items
  • NYC Theater
  • Community Theater
  • Special Event Coverage (including our “Summer of Hamilton” coverage and Capital Fringe coverage)
  • Photo Features
  • TodayTix Ticket Deals

Increased Advertising Visibility

The new homepage layout allows us to display larger ads on our homepage, to intersperse banner ads with content, and to display sidebar ads in an aesthetically pleasing and prominent layout. A banner ad will now appear in most articles as well, offering increased editorial exposure to our valued advertising partners.

The new DC Metro Theater Arts homepage is designed to be clean, contemporary, and user-friendly while our goals remain the same: To shine a spotlight on the talented and hardworking artists of Washington, DC, Baltimore, and the surrounding regions and to serve as a resource for theater patrons who want to learn more about the local performing arts scene.

Because you are a valued colleague of DC Metro Theater Arts, we wanted to be sure you were among the first to experience our reformatted site.

Welcome to the new DC Metro Theater Arts.
