In August, Northern Virginia’s NextStop Theatre postponed its previously announced large-cast fall programming “due to the recent resurgence of Covid-19 cases in our community” and promised a revised schedule soon. That new schedule has arrived as the company announces its reconceived fall slate of “four safe and fun shows featuring artists you know and love as well as new talent to the NextStop stage.”
A Familiar Melody: An evening of musical theatre showstoppers!
October 1 – 17
A joyful celebration of some of the most exciting, extraordinary, entertaining songs to ever hit the stage! Featuring Ricky Drummond (The Wedding Singer, Urinetown), Marquise White (A Grand Night For Singing), Katie McManus (Into the Woods, City of Angels, [title of show]), and Alex De Bard (First Date)!
The Turn of the Screw: A ghost story for Halloween.
October 22 – November 7
A young governess is haunted by ghosts while caring for two orphaned children on a remote estate in the English countryside.
Fully Committed: A one-woman, forty-character comedy.
November 12 – 21
Samantha is a struggling actress who works the reservation line at one of New York City’s hottest restaurants. Can she juggle scheming socialites, fickle celebrities, egomaniacal bosses, and still make it home for the holidays?
Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!): Holiday hijinks and hilarity!
December 3 – 19
A tinsel-covered rollercoaster ride through every holiday classic
