Peter Winnard is a honors graduate from Montgomery College with an A.A. in General Studies. During his time there, he won numerous awards and was chosen by the president as the most exemplary scholar of the campus and honors program. A lover of academia, Peter has presented at both Beacon and the Maryland Collegiate Honors Council Conference. Peter has also written for the Library of Congress as an intern by researching and writing topic pages from historical American newspapers. But one of Peter's main creative passions is theater; he has performed in productions across both high school and college, including 'You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown,' 'Seussical' (as the Cat in the Hat), 'Thoroughly Modern Millie,' 'Crazy for You,' 'Marisol,' 'The Conference of the Birds', and 'Side Show.' In his offstage spare time, Peter enjoys portrait drawing, script writing, banjo picking, Italian studying, and literature reading. He is very happy to be able to write about what he loves most for DCMetroTheaterArts.
